Unlike the mortality of common stocks when you have to stake the profitability of a certain ownership of a company, if they do, in fact profit, their loss follows. REIT possesses a more secure investment as it has a safety net value generated by the property itself, through time. You enjoy reaping the benefits of real estate value and appreciation.
